Chapter 18

Dharma Cakra

How does one free the mind and make it light? How does one free the mind from worldly impurities?

2 min read

Just as unit mind controls the physical body, similarly collective mind affects the collective body.

When 10, 20, or 30 Sa’dhakas assemble at a place, their common spiritual tendency forms a collective mind and vibrates a spiritual flow in the environment which helps everyone present in the Dharma Cakra, be he developed or less developed.

The advantage you gain in Dharma Cakra, cannot be had by you when you are doing Sa’dhana’ alone. Instead, you have to have Satsaunga also.

Iishvara Pran’idha’na is not Japa (repetition of Mantra alone). This is a type of Dhya’na. It shall not be proper to call it Japa. Arddha Iishvara Pran’idha’na and Cakra‑Cakra’ntara Japa come under Japa.

Cakra‑Cakra’ntara Japa, which you call Cakra Shodhana, is also Japa based on Dha’ran’a’, and Arddha Iishvara Pran’idha’na is pure Japa. When you are free, not engaged otherwise, you should do Japa, this shall habituate you in repetition of Mantra and shall help you in Iishvara Pran’idha’na and Cakra Shodhana.

Chapter 19 ‑ IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. If there is some difficulty in deciding the Cakra for Iishvara Pran’idha’na or Pra’n’a’ya’ma, A’jina’ Cakra can be easily allotted.

  2. If it so happens with some Sa’dhaka during initiation that due to his good Sam’ska’ras, Mantra reacts and he begins to cry aloud, or some such other reactions occur, his Cakra of Iishvara Pran’idha’na should be pressed. If even after this, he is not normal, Sahasra’ra Cakra should be pressed associated with the mental recitation of his (A’ca’rya’s own) Is’t’a Mantra.

But the latter method should be employed in very very uncommon and abnormal circumstances, because this causes a great setback and the aspirant will take a very long duration to regain his normal elevation. It is quite possible that he may even leave Sa’dhana'.

  1. To remedy the above deficiency caused by the application of latter process, the A’ca’rya should put his left hand on the aspirant’s overhead and by repeating his (Sa’dhaka’s) Guru Mantra loudly he should tap over the back of left palm (put on his head), by his right hand fingers nine or ten times or at most twelve times. The aspirant will feel sleepy and will regain normalcy. He should be initiated once more.

  2. If some aspirant feels fear, the moment he closes his eyes for Sa’dhana’, he should be asked to demarcate the place around him with chalk or any white material associated with the utterance of his Guru Mantra, before starting Sa’dhana'.

  3. If there is great difficulty in Bhu’ta Shuddhi, the Sa’dhaka should tap the ground three times before beginning his Sa’dhana'.

  4. The moment Is’t’a Mantra is repeated loudly or is used for material selfishness or is uttered with disrespect, it loses its efficacy and becomes dead for him.

Mantra loses its vitality for him. This fact should be well explained and the aspirant must not utter the Mantra loudly. This is essential for Sa’dhana'.
