Negative Beliefs, Tools & Tricks, and Neutralizers

Bashar: Who likes to go to the movies? Right, when you go to one of your motion pictures, you know that they are telling you a story that is not necessarily true. But by giving you what you need in that story, by creating compelling characters and exciting plot points and twists and turns, they allow you to do what many people in the motion picture business call the “willing suspension of disbelief.” So that you go along with the story as though it is true, that you relate to the characters as though they were actual real people instead of somebody just portraying them.

This concept, the willing suspension of disbelief, is also a mechanism that is used by belief systems, strangely enough.

PART ONE: THE NATURE OF BELIEFS AND INCARNATION

Bashar: When you form an incarnation, a personality, an ego structure in order to experience physical reality, it is generally composed of definitions, beliefs [samskaras], emotions, thought patterns, behaviors that comprise what you think of yourself as the physical person, the physical identity that you have.

Those definitions are the blueprint level that determines what it is you are capable of experiencing physical reality to be.

So beliefs, by their nature, by design, have to contain the ability, have to contain the resonance and the frequencies to get you to buy into them strongly. Or you can’t really have the focus necessary to believe what it is they’re telling you and have a physical experience that is representative of that specific particular belief.

All beliefs will make themselves seem to be in some ways the only belief at that moment that it is possible to have.

PART TWO: POSITIVE VS. NEGATIVE BELIEFS

Bashar: you have both positive and negative beliefs, when you have the positive belief in your mind, it’s not really such a big deal that it is convincing you. It doesn’t really need to convince you of the good times you’re having, of the good feelings that you’re experiencing.

But because really, truly deep down, and also in your higher mind so to speak, you really know the truth—that you really are infinite, eternal, indestructible beings who are absolutely worthy of the unconditional love and support of creation—because you really do know that in your heart of hearts, negative beliefs have to work very, very hard and very, very specifically in order to allow you to buy into the willing suspension of disbelief about that truth.

In order for you to experience the concept of polarity, it’s actually very, very difficult innately to buy into something negative about your true being. So negative beliefs have to rely on a series of tricks and tools. They have to specifically target certain ideas and experiences within you and magnify, amplify, get you to focus on them in a very specific way in order for you to actually even let go of the notions that you are this worthy being and actually convince you that you’re not worthy, convince you that life is a struggle, convince you that things aren’t easy.

Because you know deep down they actually are. You know deep down in your natural self that things are very simple.

PART THREE: THE PURPOSE OF POLARITY

Bashar: In order to experience the idea of polarity, in order to experience the idea of physical reality as an experience where you process, go through a process of forgetting who you are in order to remember who you are from a new point of view so you can expand your understanding of yourself, you make yourself, shall we say, available to all of the different ideas and negative beliefs that can exist within the realm of forgetfulness.

Thus, working through those negative beliefs, transforming those negative beliefs into positive ones, transforming darkness into light, transforming limitation into freedom, is the entire point.

And so you will usually start with some form of negative belief that is representative of the theme you chose to explore in this life. That will raise its head in all the challenges that crop up that are representative of that theme in your life.

But again, because a large part of being able to rediscover yourself from a new point of view is the fact that you have imposed forgetfulness upon yourself as a way of being able to do that, the negative beliefs can seem from time to time to be very, very strong, very powerful, very profound.

Now, of course, they are only deriving their power from you, but they are giving you the opportunity to explore the kind of scenarios that, as an unlimited being, you otherwise would not really be capable of exploring.

PART FOUR: THE TIME OF TRANSITION

Bashar: Nevertheless, now that you are really approaching the end of the cycle of negativity and going more into the cycle of positive awareness, awakening, expansion of consciousness, now is the time to begin to truly remember that all the negative beliefs that you may have been dealing with—and some of the ones you may continue to deal with for a little while longer in your life—are really, really just ideas in a sense, really smoke and mirrors.

And they really have to work very, very hard and focus very, very strongly on very specific issues within you in order to get you to buy into the idea that you are not worthy, in order to get you to buy into the idea that you should not investigate them.

Because they are, by design, attempting to perpetuate themselves, attempting to reinforce themselves, attempting to make it seem as if they are the only reality that’s possible.

And when that idea comes from the negative side, they have many, many, many tools and tricks at their disposal to get you to buy into that scenario.

PART FIVE: THE TOOLS AND TRICKS OF NEGATIVE BELIEFS

Bashar: Let us begin to examine some of those tools and tricks and expand upon them a little bit further so that you can really lock into this idea.

Nania, would you be of assistance in this?

Nania: All right. All of you can follow on the list that you have been handed as well if you wish.

Now, the lists that you see—front and back, both of the negative tools and tricks and also of the neutralizing ideas on the other side, which we will get to in a little while—this is not by any means a complete list. That might take pages and pages and pages and pages, because negative beliefs are very good and very clever at what they do.

Nevertheless, this will encompass some of the major ones and begin to really give you an idea of what to look for when dealing with the tools and tricks of negative beliefs.

And coming from the position of the neutralizing ideas that we will discuss momentarily, you can begin to unravel these ideas. You can begin to see them from a more neutral place and begin to extract yourself from their ability to convince you, their ability to make you suspend your disbelief about yourself, and finally come into fullness of understanding and fullness of awareness that these are just your ideas that are being amplified and filtered through belief systems that are not empirically true about you, but give you the opportunity to explore yourself from a place that is not possible from the timeless realm of spirit.

Tool #1: Convince You No Other Belief Is as Real

Bashar: So what is the first tool?

Nania: Convince you no other belief is as real.

Bashar: All right, so we have touched on this a little bit. One of the first things that a negative belief must do to get you to stop looking elsewhere for an idea is convince you that they are really representative of reality and everything else is a fantasy.

Tool #2: Convince You No Other Belief Is Possible

Bashar: Next, convince you no other belief is possible. If, when they attempt to convince you that only they are real, and yet you still might have enough self-empowerment to go looking elsewhere and extract yourself from that belief, they will, as I said, amp up the power, magnify the power, and attempt to convince you that no other belief is possible.

Tool #3: Convince You Positive Beliefs Are Negative

Bashar: Convince you positive beliefs are negative. This is a very sneaky one. Because again, what they will do to convince you to stay exactly where they want you is they will color and filter an idea that might be representative of your truth, of your excitement, and make it appear to be something that is not—in fact, may make it appear to be something quite scary that you would want to stay away from. That’s another trick they have to keep you exactly where they want you.

Tool #4: Convince You Negative Beliefs Are Positive

Bashar: Convince you negative beliefs are positive. This is the other side of the coin. Not only do they have to convince you that the positive beliefs are negative, but they have to convince you that they have your best interests at heart so that you will seek them out.

Anytime you encounter a true positive reality that they have convinced you is scary, they will then also augment that with: “Oh, they’re there, come here, I understand you, you’re safe over here, I’ll protect you from that big bad positive belief,” making themselves appear to be the hero to which you will gravitate.

Tool #5: Convince You to Take Negative Things Personally

Bashar: Convince you to take negative things personally. Many times, the idea is that when you see other people who are going through negative issues, dealing with negative issues, you will understand that people who are afraid to dive deep in themselves and explore those issues will often project their own issues on other people such as yourself.

And if you don’t have the wherewithal to neutralize the idea and recognize the difference between something that is actually your issue and something that is their issue, the negative belief may, in fact, convince you that what they’re telling you about you is actually true, when in fact all they’re actually doing is talking about themselves.

Many people will resent being shown an example of what they believe they have failed. That if they see someone succeeding at things they believe they cannot attain, they will project that resentment on others in the form of blaming others or saying others have the very negative traits that they themselves actually have but are in denial about within themselves because they’re afraid to look at it based on what their negative beliefs have told them they should not do.

Tool #6: Convince You to Blame Others for Your Negative Experience

Bashar: Convince you to blame others for your negative experience. Yes, again, this is the other side of that coin. From the person that’s doing the blaming and the accusing and the projecting, again the negative belief will keep you in denial about the fact that you are dealing with that negative belief because it makes itself seem to be very scary.

And therefore, you can’t look at that because it’ll get even scarier, it’ll get bigger and growl at you if you come close. So in order to preserve yourself, it activates the idea of your survival mechanism and says: “This isn’t about you, it must be caused by someone else.”

So blame someone else, project someone else for the things you are scared about and fearful about within yourself, so that you don’t have to look at it. You can just foist it off on someone else and then it isn’t your problem anymore.

Tool #7: Convince You That You Will Suffer If You Change Your Belief

Bashar: Convince you that you will suffer if you change your belief. Oh yes, this is a good one. The idea of the tortures of the damned, allowing you to know that you are safe where you are. And this is another way of painting a positive reality in an extremely negative light by saying: “Look, even though you may not really be absolutely happy, you are comfortable and safe. And if you change from where you are—no matter how negative you may realize it is—I’m convincing you that where you think you want to go is going to be so much more difficult, so much scarier, that you really want to stay with what is familiar.”

“Because you are going to really suffer if you really try for that thing that you really prefer. And in fact, you may even fail at it, which would make you even more miserable. So why not just stay here where it’s comfortable and safe in my clutches?”

Tool #8: Convince You You’ll Feel Less Lonely If Others Reinforce the Negative Belief

Bashar: Convince you you’ll feel less lonely if others reinforce the negative belief. This again is the idea of misery loves company. If you feel that you are in the idea of a negative state, a misery state, but you want to feel the idea that you are not alone so that you don’t have to feel this by yourself, then you will invite in others who are just as miserable and you will invite them to make you even more miserable, and you them, so that you can stay in a state that seems to be the common state.

And thus, since everyone’s doing it, I don’t need to change. That’s the idea. Look, everyone’s doing it, why do you need to be different? We’re all miserable, just stay that way.

Tool #9: Convince You It’s Too Difficult to Change

Bashar: Convince you it’s too difficult to change. Again, this goes hand in hand with some of the things we have already said. But this can be done in a variety of ways. And again, they will pinpoint within you beliefs that you may already have bought into, and they will amplify and magnify those specific things that you’ve already found to be difficult and make them seem even more difficult if you go in a different direction.

Tool #10: Convince You That It’s Impossible to Change

Bashar: Convince you that it’s impossible to change. Again, same idea. It is simply against the laws of nature. You are what you are, you are who you are, don’t rock the boat. There’s nothing you can do about it.

Tool #11: Convince You to Impart Negative Meaning to All Situations

Bashar: Convince you to impart negative meaning to all situations. Of course, because if you suddenly realize that everything is actually neutral and you can actually choose the meaning and get the effect based on the meaning, well then the negative belief has lost its hold on you because suddenly you’ve neutralized it and it’s just like any other belief.

So it will again convince you that the only realistic thing to do is to impart negative meaning to every situation that looks in any way, shape, or form like anything you have ever been taught should be defined as negative, and not even allow you the chance to think that it could be defined in any other way.

“This is what everyone says this means. Why again go against the grain? You know that this is a bad thing. Everyone says this is a bad thing, so obviously it must actually be a bad thing. So please don’t try to redefine it because then you will just look silly. You will look like you are pie-in-the-sky fantasy. Everyone knows what the reality actually is.”

Tool #12: Convince You to Feel Powerless to Change by Diminishing Ability

Bashar: Convince you to feel powerless to change by diminishing ability. Again, if you allow yourself to be in the grip long enough of certain negative beliefs, they will actually make you feel that your energy is being drained away anytime you move in the direction of something that might be positive.

To convince you that really you don’t have the ability to do this, they will give you tiredness in a sense. They will make you feel like it’s just not worth it. They will make you feel like this is going to be a real struggle, a real effort. They will make you actually feel weaker in a sense because they give you more power by staying in the negative side and they take that energy away when you move toward the positive side.

It’s not that you actually are weaker. It’s just that by comparison, they make it appear as if you’re weaker because they infuse you with so much power when you come back in their direction.

Tool #13: Convince You to Feel Helpless to Change by Amplifying Fear

Bashar: Convince you to feel helpless to change by amplifying fear. And again, they will prey upon the idea of any other negative belief that might generate the actual experience of fear, and they will pump power and energy into that fear to amplify it so much that you become so terrified, so frozen with terror about moving in the positive direction, that you simply can do nothing about it—or at least make it seem as if that’s the case.

Tool #14: Convince You It’s in Your Best Interest to Imagine the Worst Outcome

Bashar: Convince you it’s in your best interest to imagine the worst outcome. Again, this goes hand in hand with the concept that you are being more realistic if you always imagine the worst, because again, otherwise it reinforces the idea that if you don’t look at life that way, people will think that you’re some kind of Pollyanna, that you’re not realistic, that you don’t have your feet planted firmly on the ground, that you can’t be trusted with things because you have a flighty imagination, so on and so forth—that you just live in a fantasy world.

So by imagining the worst first, people will see you as: “Oh yes, the very realistic assessment, because that’s the way everyone knows the world is.” And then you’ll be taken seriously. But again, that’s the trap. Because everyone would like to be taken seriously. Negative beliefs will equate the idea of being taken seriously with the idea of projecting always the worst case scenario for yourself. And pretty soon, that becomes your habit.

Tool #15: Convince You That They Have Your Best Interests at Heart

Bashar: Convince you that they have your best interests at heart. Absolutely, as we’ve already touched on. The idea that: “Look, look, I’m taking care of you here. I’m not going to let harm come to you. I know that’s a big bad world out there. And if you go and try and live your dreams in that big black void of the unknown, well, I’m looking out for you. I’m protecting you. I’m keeping you from that big bad void with all of the monsters that are hiding there for you. I really, really am the one that is behind you. I have your back. I have your best interest at heart.”

So again, please stay in this vibration. Because otherwise, well, if I’m not with you, who knows what might happen to you that would even be scarier than I can even imagine.

Tool #16: Convince You That the End Justifies the Means

Bashar: Convince you that the end justifies the means. This is a big one in your society. Because negative beliefs will convince you, again by turning around the idea that positive is negative and negative is positive, will get you to start acting in negative ways thinking that it’s actually going to result in a positive outcome, which is simply not possible.

The end and the means are one. So negative behavior will become the norm, and negative beliefs will constantly reinforce that negative behavior as an actual means to a positive end, which will never happen because it will then keep you searching and keep you searching and keep you thinking: “Yes, this is all going to work out,” even though you’re going about things in a very negative way. It will only lead to the amplification of more negativity, which is exactly what the negative belief wants to happen.

Tool #17: Reinforce Their Reality Through Negative Synchronicity

Bashar: Reinforce their reality through negative synchronicity. Synchronicity abounds all the time. But of course, the idea is that when you’re in a negative state, the kind of synchronous reflections you’re going to get are also going to be reflective of that negativity. So this is what you call “bad luck” in your language, where people say: “Well, if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.”

The idea again is that when you’re in a negative state, of course that’s going to be reinforced by synchronicity because synchronicity is just a representation of a mechanism that is neutral. And it doesn’t have a mind of its own, and it doesn’t really care what kind of energy you put into the machine. The machine can only turn out what kind of energy you put in.

So negative beliefs know this and they will use the negative synchronicity when you’re in the negative state. When they’ve got you in that negative state and the negative synchronicity crops up to say: “See, told you so. The world is a big bad place. Look at this. You just need to follow what I’m telling you and better things will happen.” That’s where they use that other idea: “That just keep doing these negative things and something good will happen.”

But negative synchronicity will keep piling up and piling up and piling up, and they will have to work harder and harder and harder and harder to convince you that this is still the road to take.

This is why so many people on your planet find that when they finally get to the point where they are so sick and tired of being in that state, they will finally allow themselves to change. But the reason you get so sick and tired of being in that state is because you’ve been in that state for so long because the negative belief was capable of convincing you to stay in that state much longer than you really, really had to. That’s why you’re so exhausted and finally allow yourself to change.

This is one of the loopholes in the idea of the negative belief—that it will exhaust you to the point where one way or another, you will finally exit that state of being. But you can exit it positively or you can exit it negatively. Sometimes the negative exit you refer to as suicide.

Tool #18: Prevent You from Seeing Positive Opportunities

Bashar: Prevent you from seeing positive opportunities. As we have often said, you cannot perceive what you are not the vibration of first. If you are of a certain vibration that is negative, you simply are incapable of imagining positive opportunities. They’re just invisible to you. You just don’t think that way from a negative state.

But when you’re in a positive state, then all the opportunities that could be positive will show up in the positive synchronicity, and you’ll have the capability of imagining what they may be and even creating some opportunities on your own.

But again, the negative belief will make sure—do its best to make sure—that you stay in a state where you can’t even imagine that there might be a positive opportunity. You just won’t understand the language of positive reality by steeping yourself in the negative energy.

Tool #19: Prevent You from Finding the Core Belief by Getting You to Focus on Secondary Ones

Bashar: Prevent you from finding the core belief by getting you to focus on secondary ones. This is a favorite trick, so to speak, of the deep core negative belief—that it will surround itself with all sorts of shells and layers of other secondary and tertiary level beliefs, allowing you to think: “Well, if they’re going to come looking, I’m going to make sure they find this and they find that—it’s red herrings and decoys everywhere.”

So that you think: “Oh, I found the negative belief. Oh goodie, it’s gone now.” And you move on with your life and suddenly find that your behavior is the same and your feelings are the same, and you wonder: “What the heck happened? I thought I let that go.”

Well, there is the negative belief deep down in its little layer going: “He he he, they haven’t found me.” And it will keep doing that and keep doing that and keep doing that until you finally achieve the level of willingness that is necessary for you to just break through all those different levels and really look for the core definition, which when you find it and let that go, will allow the secondary and tertiary level negative beliefs to just collapse because now they have no more foundation.

Tool #20: Distract You from Investigating Your Beliefs

Bashar: Distract you from investigating your beliefs. Oh, that’s a big one too. Yes, yes. “I am going to go about investigating those… ooh, shiny! Oh, what was I doing? Oh yes, yes, I’m going to get to the bottom of these negative… oh, that looks like fun.”

The negative belief will do that too. “Look at that. Oh, look at that, you’ve been wanting to do that for a while, right? I’m your pal, I’m your buddy, let’s go do that. That looks like much more fun than looking for me.”

It will do anything it can to prolong the process, in other words.

Tool #21: Convince You to Believe They’re Not Doing Any of These Things

Bashar: Convince you to believe they’re not doing any of these things. Exactly. As somebody has said colloquially speaking: “One of the greatest tricks of the devil is convincing you he doesn’t exist.”

Yes, so the idea is that this is really what’s happening, and that’s what that phrase comes from—is that negative beliefs will also impart to you such a willing suspension of disbelief that you actually will not even see or be capable of imagining that such a belief even exists. You will think this is coming from the outside.

This is a true victim mentality now, where you think everything is against me. This is paranoia. This is saying the world is to blame. This is saying I am a victim and everything is happening to me in life instead of happening through me in life.

This is where the negative belief really gets you to believe that there isn’t something happening within your consciousness, that it’s all real out there and it’s all coming from out there, and there is no negative belief. This is just the way the world is. It’s a cruel, mean place. Get over it.

Tool #22: Convince You to Deny That Negative Beliefs Exist Within You

Bashar: Convince you to deny that negative beliefs exist within you. Same thing.

Tool #23: Convince You to Believe You’re the Exception to the Ability to Change

Bashar: Convince you to believe you’re the exception to the ability to change. Absolutely. This is again an amplification of the state of arrogance and the state of victimization where: “Oh yes, I know you could probably change if you really wanted to. I know you could do it. Everyone can do it. But somehow I can’t. I’m the exception to the rule.”

That’s actually, even though it seems like a victim position, is actually a state of high arrogance that you would think that out of all beings in creation, you’re the only one who cannot change. That’s calling attention to yourself in a very negative way, which amplifies the negative energy within you.

Tool #24: Convince You to Feel Comfortable with Negativity

Bashar: Convince you to feel comfortable with negativity. Oh yes, if you live with it long enough and it has done its job to scare you that every other direction is going to be worse, then you will settle down into that couch and it will start to eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat away at you very slowly over time, until you find that you and the couch have fused into one thing.

And now, if you want to go and do something, now it’s convinced you that you really can’t even move because now not only do you have the weight of your own self, but you have the weight of the couch, and now the couch has fused to the floor of the house, and now you really can’t do anything about it. So you might as well just stay there and enjoy it. Enjoy wallowing in your misery.

This is what happens when you call it wallowing in misery. You just give up, give over all your power, and this is just the way it is, and you just fade away.

Tool #25: Convince You to Believe No Positive Tools Will Work

Bashar: Convince you to believe no positive tools will work. This is also a big one because again, the idea is that they paint all positive ideas in a negative light. And when you expose yourself, or even have the possibility or probability of being exposed to tools that could help you, they will really work hard to convince you that those things are just fallacies. “It’s just wishful thinking. Those things never really work at all. Please don’t even go that way. That’s really just a fantasy. You’re living in fantasy land, you understand?”

Tool #26: Convince You to Distort and View Positive Information as Negative

Bashar: Convince you to distort and view positive information as negative. Again, a variation of the idea of positive beliefs where again, it won’t even allow you to actually comprehend some of the information that you are receiving that could be helping you move in a positive direction. It will distort it, filter it, twist it in such a way that you will really see it as something other than what it is, and again not be capable of taking advantage of the positive information.

It will make it seem discordant because you are in a negative state—out of alignment, out of phase with your true vibration. Anytime the true vibration approaches you, it will get louder too and create such a cacophony of distortion, it will then make your ears bleed to listen to it. So you’ll move away from that positive information.

It will make it seem that you are so vibrationally incompatible with that that it must be a bad thing because you are wonderful and you are good, and anything coming to you that makes you feel this way must be bad. So please ignore it, please run away from it as fast as you possibly can, back into my arms where you are nice and safe and cozy forever.

Tool #27: Convince You to Justify Keeping the Negative Belief

Bashar: And finally, convince you to justify keeping the negative belief. When the negative belief has really done its job well and really convinced you that that’s the safest place, anything and everything will be used as a justification to maintain it.

Any negative feeling you have will be focused on so that you don’t have to focus on the belief itself. Any negative thoughts will be focused on that you can just justify the idea. You will look at your history and anything that might have happened in what you call the past that was negative to say: “But look, this happened to me, so it will happen again. But look, I must be held back by habits and patterns that I was taught. But look, this is the way the world is, so who am I to say different?”

You will find any reason at all to justify all of these tools and tricks and keep the negative belief in charge of what it is you think, what it is you feel, what it is you say, and how it is you behave. You will now be working as the negative belief’s agent on its behalf, and you will really be its minion, doing its job along with it, to continue to convince yourself that the negative belief is the best possible state of being for you.

And then, in a sense, the negative belief can start to relax because it’s convinced you that you have to do its job for it. You now work for it and not the other way around.

Fascinating, isn’t it?

PART SIX: THE SUN AND THE MOON - DEMYSTIFYING ARCHETYPES

Bashar: All right, so before we go on to the idea of the neutralizers, please understand that these things have been, as we have said, handed down and handed down and handed down. But that’s not a reason why they should continue. This is just an idea.

And you have projected these things, and the negative beliefs have projected themselves into all forms of archetypal iconography and imagery to make sure that they remain in the forefront of your consciousness and right in front of your face all the time. And that’s okay because polarity is going to be everywhere you look.

But the key is recognizing that all of the presentations that the negative beliefs make are only that—they’re just presentations, they’re just symbols, they’re just representations. And they don’t have to contain any solidity, any validity in the sense of believing that they’re true for you. They are valid as beliefs, but you don’t have to prefer them, and you don’t have to invalidate them. You just need to allow them to be neutral.

But before we go into the list of neutralizers, we would like to make a slight demonstration and an illustration, demystifying something for you that can act as the first neutralizer to allow you to see a little bit more clearly how these negative beliefs push themselves into the stories in your society and in your history and in your culture in such a way as to perpetuate themselves.

By demystifying some of these archetypal images, you can start to see that they really don’t amount to much other than a representation of the fact that reality will always contain positive energy and negative energy, which is just another way of saying that there is the positive idea which is integrative, connective, and expansive as a mechanism—it’s not a value judgment—and the negative energy which is just the idea of that which is disconnective, segregative, and contractive.

When you bring it back down to simply the mechanisms themselves that must exist in order for you to have a physical experience, then they really become nothing more than just those mechanisms. They really become nothing more, and you see them as nothing more than the idea of the nature of the structure of existence itself that allows the opportunity to make choices and allows the opportunity to use the dark and the light like an artist in a painting to always create the nuances and the shades that are necessary, but never to succumb to the idea that you are trapped in the painting.

So let us give you one illustration of how some of this idea of positive and negative in a very simple way has, shall we say, filtered down into some of the mythologies and stories and cultural ideas in your society.

Nania, yes, would you please, if we may ask—we will ask you for the sun and the moon.

All right, all right. We thank you.

Now, long, long ago, obviously most people on your planet simply equated the idea of the sun with light, day, and positive energy. Yes. And most people equated the moon with night, of course, on your planet, and therefore the idea of darkness, which a long time ago was kind of scary because in the dark there could be things that you couldn’t see coming that could kill you. So it connected to the idea of your survival instinct.

And therefore, because that pattern was set up in your physical mind, it became associated with the idea of negative energy—that which could disconnect you from the world. Very simple. Yes, it’s just an observation of the idea of the mechanical energy of positive and negative.

As things went down through the ages and you began to develop more and more of what you call culture and civilization, you imbued these symbols in a variety of ways into your stories and mythologies to represent this idea of positive and negative, of light and dark. Again, not meaning that nighttime has to inherently be negative—that’s not what we mean at all. But we’re simply going off the mechanical descriptions that began long ago. We’re not putting a subjective value judgment on the idea that day is better than night or night is better than day. They are both equally fine for different reasons. But we’re just talking about the mechanism here and the actual states of being that became associated with different kinds of archetypal representations in your cultures.

Now not every culture on your planet has the same ones, but we know we are addressing what you typically call your Western culture, and this is where they are most prominent. And when you began to project the idea of positive and negative energy into archetypal forms that were similar to your own form so that you could relate to them but still recognize that they were representative of energies and powers that were many dimensions beyond you, you started to see them and represent them in your reality as beings—powerful archetypal beings.

And eventually, when you began to wrap these ideas with the concept you call religion, they began to show themselves in the following way:

Yes, the halo of the saints and the angels—positive. The horns of the night—“Oh, you little devil”—that’s where it comes from. And that’s all it is. That’s all it is. You can trace it back to the sun and the moon, the day and the night, the light and the dark, the positive energy, the negative energy. That’s all it is.

So with that in mind, please understand—not that there are not angelic energies and not that the angelic energies don’t have their negative polarities—but more often than not, you will find that when beings on your planet, people on your planet, believe that they are being attacked by demons and lured into temptation, they are actually experiencing the tricks and the tools of the negative beliefs.

And they are archetypally linking them into the idea of actual beings and feeling that they are being attacked, feeling that they have no power, feeling that demonic entities are sticking to them, dragging them around, possessing them, doing whatever. All those energies are coming from the negative beliefs because that’s what they’re designed to do.

And that’s again one of the tricks—is making you believe, convincing you that their work is the work of other beings such as demons and devils that you have no power over, so that you will not look within.

You understand? All right. So the sun and the moon are sometimes just the sun and the moon.

PART SEVEN: THE NEUTRALIZERS

Bashar: Shall we go down the list quickly of the neutralizers? Yes, we shall. That being the first one that I just told you above and beyond the list, because this is the main principle behind the neutralizers—is to realize the illusion and the lies behind the negative beliefs.

Because as we said in the beginning, the idea is that the negative beliefs have to work very hard to convince you that you’re unworthy because you know that you are worthy. And therefore, this is all smoke and mirrors.

And by demonstrating the idea of the transition from a simple recognition to a complex and, quote-unquote, scary archetypal presentation in your mythology, you see how the negative beliefs have to work to create illusions when all they really are are just standing behind the curtain pushing the levers going: “Hope they believe this one. This is my best trick yet. I am Oz, the Great and Powerful.”

You understand? And so let’s look behind the curtain. Yes. And these are negativity neutralizers.

Neutralizer #1: Remember That Negative Feelings Are Generated by Negative Beliefs

Bashar: The first being remembering that negative feelings are generated by negative beliefs. When you understand that that’s the succession—that you have to have the belief first in order to have any feeling at all because you have to have a definition in order to know what you’re feeling about—then as soon as you have a negative feeling or a feeling that’s uncomfortable for you, own it. Don’t try to get rid of it, don’t try to ignore it. Own it. You have to acknowledge that it’s there because you can’t change what you don’t own.

But realize that as soon as you have the feeling, you can use the feeling. Remember that the feeling has to come from a definition first. So once you feel the feeling, that can be your first “aha.” If I’m feeling this, there has to be a definition generating it. Let’s find out what it is—what I have to believe is true in order to feel the way I do.

And that can help you unlock from the fear and go into curiosity and discovery to find out what that negative belief actually is. And once you identify it, it will automatically appear illogical and nonsensical, and you realize that you simply bought into it somewhere along the way—your parents, your society, your friends, your schooling—and you will realize that it’s baggage that doesn’t belong to you and you can drop it. Go ahead.

Neutralizer #2: Remember That Negative Beliefs Are Only Beliefs and Not Actually True

Bashar: You can neutralize negative beliefs by remembering that negative beliefs are only beliefs and they’re not actually true. Everything is just a belief in terms of your physical reality experience. The only things that are absolutes are the five laws that we have often talked about. Everything else is just a combination of those laws and an experience of the idea of polarity, projections from belief systems as a physical being.

Because that’s what you’re made of. You’re really made of—your physical mind is just made of belief systems. That’s all it is. They’re just filters that allow you to experience the idea of yourself as a projection into physical reality. But physical reality is just a dream. In reality, you are all right now still in spirit. You’re just dreaming that you’re not. That’s it. You never leave spirit. It’s your natural state. It’s what you are.

So you are now imposing upon your spirit, upon your consciousness, the dream that you are having a physical reality. And that’s all it is. But you’re still in spirit right now. So let’s wake up and remember that.

Neutralizer #3: Remember That Beliefs Can Always Be Changed

Bashar: Another neutralizer is remembering that beliefs can always be changed. A belief inherently is changeable when you believe that it is so. This is the skeleton key that unlocks you from any belief. No matter how hard a negative belief may work to convince you to buy into it, if you just give yourself an opportunity to always take a pause and remember that it is just a belief, then you will always know you always have the key to change it if you truly prefer to.

That’s the skeleton key that unlocks you from any belief—is just remembering that it is nothing but a belief.

Neutralizer #4: Remember That All Situations Are Fundamentally Neutral

Bashar: Remembering that all situations are fundamentally neutral. And again, notice how all of, or most of, these neutralizers have to do with just remembering these ideas. That’s all.

And again, remember that the negative belief is going to do its darnedest to get you to forget, to get you to not realize that there are such concepts. Remember we said it will paint these things as if it’s something to not pay attention to.

So in fact, the idea of just remembering some of these ideas can in many cases be enough to neutralize them, just because you broke through the forgetfulness the negative belief was intending to impose upon your consciousness.

Just remembering can eradicate many of these beliefs. Just remembering these things and that will put you back into a state of neutrality, which as we have said is actually slightly bent always in the positive direction because neutrality is a state in which you are free to choose, and that’s a positive state.

So in a sense, you could say that creation is actually just slightly more positive than negative because there is a middle state of neutrality that allows you more ease of choosing the positive. And if you just drift in neutrality, even if you just do that, the current of creation will eventually bend you in the positive direction if you do nothing else but just go with the flow. That’s a powerful one, isn’t it?

Neutralizer #5: Remember That Your Existence and Your Worth Are More Fundamental Than Any Belief

Bashar: All right. Remember that your existence and your worth are more fundamental than any belief. Beliefs are just the creation of the idea of the physical mind. Your existence is far more fundamental. That in some senses should be obvious.

And if you exist, that means you have to be worthy because creation doesn’t make mistakes. And if you exist, then that means existence needs you to exist—existence wouldn’t be complete. So you are that worthy because again, the things that existence didn’t need don’t exist.

So your worth and your existence are far more fundamental than any belief. And if you just go back to that core remembrance, then the belief will be seen as a secondary level illusion and not a true fundamental truth or reality.

Neutralizer #6: Remember That Negative Beliefs Make Positive Beliefs Easier to See by Contrast

Bashar: Remember that negative beliefs make positive beliefs easier to see by contrast. You can use the idea of negativity in a positive way. That’s basically what this means. So you’re not invalidating the negative belief but turning it back on itself and saying: “Well, thank you negative belief for being so dark because by being so dark, you actually allow it to be much easier to see the little light in the distance, which if things were brighter I might not have noticed.”

So in the vastness and empty void of space, a single tiny spark of light is much easier to see because of all the blackness. So you can use the negativity to your advantage and turn its trick around on itself by saying: “Thank you for showing me the contrast.”

Because many times it’s a lot easier for many of you to simply understand what it is you do prefer by being shown an example very clearly of what you don’t prefer. By contrast, then you know what direction to go in more easily.

Neutralizer #7: Remember That Negative Beliefs Are Your Creation and You’re Always in Control

Bashar: Another neutralizer is that you can remember that negative beliefs are your creation and that you’re always in control. You’re always empowered. And even if you’re using your power to make it seem like you’re out of control, that’s again the thing to understand about the nature of existence and your existence as well—is that there can be no such thing as an actual disconnection from Source.

But Source supports you so unconditionally in your choices that you can choose to pretend that you are disconnected. But the paradox is the only way you can actually have an experience of disconnection is to use your connection to create it.

So if you remember that you’re always empowered, always empowered, then you will realize and remember that the only way you could possibly have an experience of disempowerment is if you’re using your power to create that experience of disempowerment. And once you remember that it’s simply not actually possible to be disempowered, again you will neutralize the negative belief’s insistence on your lack of power.

Neutralizer #8: Remember That Positive Beliefs Will Never Use Negative Reinforcement

Bashar: Another neutralizer is if you remember that positive beliefs will never use negative reinforcement, but that negative beliefs will always use positive reinforcement because they are deceptive by design. Exactly.

So always pay attention when they are leading you down the so-called primrose path and painting a rosy picture of something that you know is actually negative. Because they have to work very hard to make it seem positive in order for you to follow it. But you can recognize that they are being deceitful because that’s their nature to be so in order to perpetuate themselves.

Because you know the truth about yourselves and they have to lie to you to get you to buy into what they’re saying by pretending that they know better, by pretending they have your best interest at heart, and then coloring things to make it look like that’s the path to take, when really if you just stood back and looked at what they were doing, you would realize that it’s just a path of rocks and thorns that they’re convincing you to step on.

Neutralizer #9: Remember the Yin-Yang Concept

Bashar: Another thing that you can do is you can remember the yin-yang concept—that no matter how dark things may seem, you always have the ability to reach the light within. The idea of the polarity in existence—there is always an opportunity, just as in the yin-yang symbol, to recognize that on the dark side there is always a spot of white, and on the white side always a spot of dark.

So that you know the doorways exist in both directions and you can always choose. No matter how dark it may seem, you will always know there is a doorway to the light—always. But at the same time, knowing that no matter how light it seems, you always have the power to choose the dark.

This again brings you back into balance, brings you back into the center point where you can neutralize everything and realize that all choices are just equally valid and then choose what you prefer with a clear conscience and from a state of balance. So remember that symbol.

Neutralizer #10: Be Okay with the Process of Discovering Negative Beliefs

Bashar: Another method is to remember to be okay with the process of discovering what your negative beliefs are so that you can let go of them. Many people again are convinced by the negative belief that they should be absolutely perfectly spiritual beings by now. “Why do these things keep happening to me? What’s wrong with me? I should be far beyond this at this particular point.”

But you see, the process is the point. You will transition at some point from the idea of letting go of negative beliefs to something else, but it will always be a process. So be okay with process because process is the point of having a physical life.

Because you cannot change without the idea of process. In a timeless state, there’s no change. Only by creating the illusion of space and time can you go through the idea of discovering yourself from a new point of view. So be happy with the process, love the process, be passionate about discovering through the process.

Because process is the equivalent of life. You’re living a life that is by nature a process of discovery. That’s what it’s all about. The journey is the destination. The process is the point. So live in the process, live in the now with the process, and it will serve you in positive ways. Let it be okay to go through those processes.

The difference will come in this way. At some point, when you are finally willing to investigate all the negative beliefs, bring them to conscious light, and let them go, the process of letting things go will continue. But the way the process then expresses itself is it changes from letting go of negative beliefs to letting go of things that are simply no longer relevant for you in life. They may be positive things, but eventually you will streamline yourself, streamline yourself, streamline yourself by letting go of even positive things that simply are no longer relevant for the being you now know and prefer yourself to be.

So the process won’t stop even when you let go of all the negative ideas. So please don’t turn the process into another negative idea because it isn’t, or doesn’t have to be.

Neutralizer #11: Remember That Negative Beliefs Belong to Someone Else

Bashar: Another neutralizer is remember that negative beliefs belong to someone else and you don’t have to carry them. Yes, as we said, things that are truly out of alignment with who you are don’t belong to you. You most likely pick them up along the way, but they are baggage that belong to other people that you’ve simply been convinced that you have to carry.

But because it belongs to other people, that’s why it’s so heavy. That’s why it weighs you down. The beliefs that are true and in alignment for you weigh nothing. It feels effortless. You feel light as a feather. When you start to feel weighed down, that can be one of the clues you’re carrying something that doesn’t belong to you.

So investigate it. Drop the baggage. As we have said, do not steal other people’s beliefs and be a belief thief. You don’t want to steal other people’s beliefs. Drop them and move on and lighten your load.

Remember that the first step to enlightenment is to lighten up on yourself and lighten your load.

Neutralizer #12: Remember That You’re Never Alone

Bashar: Remember that you’re never alone and you always have help. You may always be capable of experiencing solitude in a positive way, but you are never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever actually truly alone. You cannot be because you are connected to everything. You are everything expressing itself as every aspect of itself, and thus you are all the reflections and they are you. You are never alone.

You have help. You have guides. You have friends. You have family on many different levels and connections more than you can imagine from this perspective. You can always create the experience of solitude, and that solitude will always be respected to give you the space you need to function as the individual that you are, but you are never, ever, ever alone.

And the second that anyone knows that assistance is required, assistance is always given. You are constantly, in fact, being bombarded with all the assistance we, your guides, and many other beings and Source can possibly give. If you feel that the assistance isn’t there, it’s not because it’s not being given. It’s because you are blocking the reception by negative beliefs and buying into them.

So as soon as you let go, you will suddenly realize and in fact almost be blinded with the assistance that is always flowing your way without letup of any kind. So tap into that river and let it flow through you because it’s always coming. It cannot stop.

Neutralizer #13: Remember That You’re Always Loved and Supported

Bashar: Remember that you’re always loved and supported no matter what. Again, this goes to your worthiness. If you were not worthy, you wouldn’t exist. So if you exist, you’re worthy. And the idea is therefore you have absolute, absolute right to all the energy, all the support, all the love, as you call it, of all that is.

Because that is the energy of existence itself. And if you are part of existence, then it is your nature to experience the ideas you translate in your reality as unconditional love and support. It’s your nature that you’re experiencing when you experience those energies. It’s the nature of existence itself translating in physical terms that you call that feeling of unconditional love and unconditional support. It’s your nature.

Neutralizer #14: Remember to Forgive Yourself and Others

Bashar: Remember to forgive yourself and others. Forgiveness is exceedingly powerful as a tool. Here’s exactly vibrationally why:

Forgiveness is a state of being that can actually mitigate the effects of the consequences of a negative act. You have many of you at least heard of the idea that when you die, many people experience what is called life review. Yes. And in that life review experience, it has been reported that what happens because there are no longer the same barriers between you and another, that you will suddenly start to experience in that life review not only the things that happen visually, but you will actually experience the consequences of anything you chose to do and the way in which others may have experienced them based on your intentions, as if you’re experiencing the consequences from their point of view.

You understand? So if you have in any way, shape, or form intentionally caused hurt or harm to someone, in the life review you will feel exactly what they felt when you did that, as if you were them.

Forgiveness of yourself, forgiveness from others, forgiveness to others is actually a vibrational state that will actually mitigate the effect of the consequence of a negatively intentioned act.

So the more forgiveness you can create for yourselves, the more you can forgive others, the more you are evening the playing field and the less need there is for you to experience the idea of the negative energy that was initially created by a negative act. It’s as simple as that. It is a mitigation, a cancellation system. That’s what forgiveness is as an energy. It’s bringing everything back to zero.

Neutralizer #15: Remember That You Can Choose What You Prefer Without Invalidating What You Don’t Prefer

Bashar: Another neutralizing method is to remember that you can choose what you prefer without invalidating what you don’t prefer. The only reason you would choose to invalidate something you don’t prefer is if you have a belief that it is somehow more powerful than you are at deciding what you prefer.

Because if you have to invalidate it, then you’re saying you have to have extra protection. You have to somehow shun it and push it away. But there’s nowhere to push anything to, imagine that, because everything is actually here and now. The walls of existence are right here. And if there’s a big spring on the wall and you push against that spring, the only thing you’re doing is building up energy in that spring by denying it and pushing it away.

So at some point, that energy is going to build up so much so powerfully that it’s going to pop back at you. It has no choice because it has nowhere to go. This is what invalidation does. But if you simply validate everything, then the springs just sit there and you go: “Well, okay, there’s this negative spring and there’s this positive spring and they’re just sitting there, and I’m not going to give you undue energy. I’m just going to choose what I prefer. This is what I prefer. That’s it. There’s no charge on it. This is simply a recognition of what I prefer. That’s it.”

And then you act in that direction, and that’s all there is to it. Invalidation charges the thing you don’t prefer because it’s a negative energy. So if you don’t prefer a negative thing, why would you feed it more negative energy by invalidating it? You’re just feeding it, and when you feed something, it’ll grow. Don’t feed it.

Neutralizer #16: Be Willing to Be Honest with Yourself About Your Beliefs

Bashar: Be willing to be honest with yourself about your beliefs. Absolutely. In your investigation, do not succumb to the convincing of the negative belief that makes you go into denial that the negative beliefs are there. They’re always going to be there for a while. And your excitement and following it will reveal to you any negative beliefs that may be remaining within your personality structure. And that’s all right. Just discover them. Don’t go into denial about it.

If you go into the idea again that: “Well, I’m supposed to be this perfect spiritual being that has absolutely no negative beliefs,” well then that’s a negative belief again. It’s the negative belief convincing you that you’re perfect so you don’t have to look at things. But you are perfect anyway. You’re perfect as you are. Whatever version of you you are at the moment is absolutely a perfect version of what you are at the moment. In the next moment you may be different, but you will just be a different perfect version of that. So you’re always already perfect, even though you will always constantly change.

Neutralizer #17: Don’t Let Fear Stop Your Momentum

Bashar: Another important thing to remember is don’t let fear stop your momentum. If you’re going to be afraid anyway, then go ahead and push through it and do what you love doing regardless. This is just a logical argument. If you’re going to be afraid, why not be afraid while you’re doing what you love instead of sitting around not doing anything and being afraid? It’s as simple as that.

You might as well, if you’re going to be afraid, be doing something you love to do while you’re being afraid. And as soon as you actually start moving in the direction of what you love to do, you will find that you’ll be less afraid. Very simple self-canceling mechanism.

And if you find that you are experiencing fear, push through the fear even though it’ll get louder and stronger. That only means it’s reaching its breaking point and eventually it will dissolve. As we said, negative beliefs have to work very hard to get your attention to turn your face away from the truth that you’re absolutely worthy.

So as soon as you start moving in the positive direction, they’re going to start yelling as loud as they can. They’re going to start banging on drums. They’re going to have a 76-piece orchestra trying to get your attention so that you will come back in that direction. So the louder it gets, the stronger the fear feels should tell you you’re really close to crossing the threshold and letting it go. Or it wouldn’t have to work so hard to get your attention.

Neutralizer #18: Remember That If You’re the Creator of the Negative Belief, You Are More Powerful Than It

Bashar: And don’t forget that if you’re the creator of the negative belief, then you are more powerful than the negative belief. You’re the one that created it. No matter though it may convince you that it has power over you, it always knows that you are the creator of the negative belief. And of course, if you realize that, then the negative belief is neutralized.

So it will do everything in its power to convince you that you are not as powerful as it is. But if you created it, you have to be more powerful than it is.

Neutralizer #19: Remember That Positive Beliefs Allow You to Feel Light and Free

Bashar: Remember, positive beliefs allow you to feel light and free. It’s negative beliefs that make you feel tired and heavy. And again, this is we come back to the idea of the loophole that while you can lighten your load as you go, if for some reason you are holding on and holding on and holding on and holding on, getting tireder and tireder, more exhausted more exhausted, and wondering why you have absolutely no energy left, then the idea can be used as a turnaround to recognize that eventually, eventually, if you maintain any degree of desire to go in the positive direction, that you will one day become so sick and tired of being sick and tired that you will finally let all of that negativity go.

Now you don’t have to do that. You don’t have to wait that long. But at least you know that someday, if you’re that sick and tired, you might finally be willing to let go of the thing that’s actually making you sick and tired.

Neutralizer #20: Drop What Your Ego Wants

Bashar: And here’s an interesting one—drop what your ego wants. Yes. Know the difference between what you prefer and what your ego is telling you you want. Because more often than not, what the ego wants is what the negative ego is attempting to convince you of that you need and to distract you from what really would serve you, what would really be representative of what you need, what would really be representative of your joy.

It will convince you that you must want this and you must want that in order to be happy. And again, all it’s doing in many cases is leading you down a primrose path.

Neutralizer #21: Let Go of All of Your Assumptions

Bashar: Let go of all of your assumptions and go to zero. Yes. And we will continue because this will culminate in the final one, which is:

Neutralizer #22: Don’t Resist Change, Go with the Flow

Bashar: Don’t resist change. Go with the flow.

And remember the famous quote: “Pay attention. It’s not what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know that just isn’t so.”

Assumptions. Negative beliefs will convince you that you know what you’re talking about when you don’t. So always allow yourself to know that many different kinds of statements that may sound like facts may only be assumptions that are reinforced by negative beliefs to convince you that you know what you’re talking about and that you know better than what someone else may be attempting to tell you that could help you.

So you will become the ultimate authority. “I know it all. You can’t tell me anything new.” But there’s the trap. It’s not so much that you get into trouble with what you don’t know. It’s what you know that just isn’t so because you’ve been convinced that it’s true and it may not be.

So always look for the things that come out of your mouth and pay attention to whether they are just assumptions or true statements of your being. Because negative beliefs will make assumptions appear to be facts, and they’re nothing again but smoke and mirrors.

PART EIGHT: CONCLUSION - THE GIFT OF NEGATIVE BELIEFS

Bashar: Now again, these are just a few of the ideas, both negative and positive. It is up to your own imagination to provide whatever may work for you. But the more you allow yourself to look at this list and study this list, the more it will rub off on you the way in which negative beliefs work. You will start to really see behind the curtain, understand the illusions and the tricks, and then start to catch them in the act, and then realize how empowered you are.

And then you can move in the direction that you prefer.

Nania, did you wish to add anything to this?

Nania: I think just that if you find yourself getting stuck in a negative belief, remember to look at this list and work with these ideas, because you really are not stuck. That’s just the negative belief idea.

Thank you.

Q&A SESSION

Question 1: Physical Pain and Weight Gain

Participant: Actually, you’ve pretty much blown my mind. I wanted to let you know physically I’m doing so much better than the last time I spoke with you. My arm and nerve pain is pretty much gone. Thank you. Physically right now, my issue is I’m always eating. I’m actually gaining weight. I’m going to be 68, and I thought when you got older you kind of lost weight.

Bashar: Please remember, as we have discussed with many people, is that when you start to expand your consciousness and you actually start to feel your energy getting lighter and lighter and lighter, a negative belief you may be unaware of is convincing you to eat more and more and more or you’ll float away.

So in a sense, it’s using the idea of your upliftment to create a counter-effect of feeling or believing that you need to be more and more and more grounded and weighty so that you do not lift off the planet. So it’s using the positive idea in a negative way. You understand?

When you allow yourself to let it be all right to feel that rise in energy, that lightness in energy, you will discover if you explore deeply enough what the negative belief is saying to you to create the anxiety that moving in that direction is going to do some harm to you or detach you from the earth in a way that you don’t prefer to be detached. And you will allow yourself to see through what it is attempting to convince you to do in creating the anxiety by creating a discordant vibration that is contrary to the one you’re feeling as upliftment.

Please remember, use the list we have just provided and see what happens.

Question 2: Ancient Egypt and Extraterrestrial Help

Participant: I wanted to ask you a question about ancient Egypt. I’ve been studying the philosophy, history, architecture.

Bashar: How exciting!

Participant: It’s very exciting. So what about ancient Egypt—did they have extraterrestrial help?

Bashar: Here and there. Yes. Not necessarily in certain ways that some people on your planet assume, but yes, they had connections. But please also remember they were also very adept at astral travel. And therefore, much of the information that they gleaned, they gleaned simply by having the ability to astral travel and connect with Source in a different way and bring that information back down to Earth.

This is what the priesthood did. This is what the main pyramid, the Giza necropolis, actually was capable of amplifying, if you will. Know that the stone coffer in the King’s Chamber was specifically designed in the right proportions, the right dimensions, the right ratios, and the right material so that when a priest got into the stone coffer and meditated and achieved the gamma frequency—the meditative frequency of 40 cycles per second—the stone coffer was built specifically to resonate and reflect and amplify and magnify that particular gamma frequency to the point where there was such a buildup of that energy that it actually aided and assisted the spirit to pop out of the body.

Wow! So the Great Pyramid, in a sense, as an astral projection machine. And thus the priesthood used it to go wandering the universe and bring back information. Sometimes they encountered extraterrestrials and other dimensional beings on their travels. Sometimes those beings may have visited them in their culture physically on Earth. But a lot of the initial connections to those beings were made through astral travel, and a lot of the information was downloaded that way as well through the priesthood.

Participant: I was in that spot in the pyramid. Now I understand more. What about the Dogon?

Bashar: The Dogon had visitation from beings from the star system of Sirius.

Participant: When?

Bashar: Look up your history. I thought you were interested in history.

Participant: I am, but hundreds of years ago?

Bashar: Not well—hundreds and hundreds, thousands.

Question 3: The Nature of Time and Parallel Realities

Participant: What is time?

Bashar: Time is a side effect of your consciousness shifting through billions of parallel realities per second to create the illusion of movement and change.

Participant: So there is such thing as a parallel universe?

Bashar: There are many, many, many. There are an infinite number. But the idea is that when we’re talking about parallel realities, we’re not just talking about a sequence of parallel realities. We mean that each and every parallel reality is just literally a frozen moment, a frozen snapshot, similar to a frame on a film strip, with no movement, no change, no experience, nothing at all.

It’s a sequence of those frames, a sequence of parallel realities that creates the illusion of movement and change in a movie, and equally a sensation and a side effect of movement, change, and time in physical reality. By your consciousness going through those frames billions of times per second, like a projector light, creating the experience of space-time.

Participant: The actual tick of the clock—is that what you call the Planck time?

Bashar: Yes. Planck is the name of one of the scientists on your planet who first defined this minuscule measurement of time based on the speed of light crossing the Planck distance, which is 10 to the -43rd power—very, very, very small. That’s the grain, in other words, of your reality. That’s the tick of the clock of your reality of time. That’s how fast you are shifting through these parallel realities—billions upon billions upon billions of times per second, because there are billions of Planck time units per second.

Question 4: Dominant Life Forms

Participant: Are we the dominant form of life—humans—where on your planet?

Bashar: No.

Participant: What is?

Bashar: Bacteria.

Participant: What about in the universe?

Bashar: There are many, many, many different kinds of species throughout the universe. Humans occupy a fraction, and humanoids occupy a fraction of all the species we have encountered. But there are many that are nothing like you at all.

Now it depends on how you look at this because again, if you understand that there are parallel realities and that parallel realities are infinite, then there may be different realities, different universes in which the human form is dominant. So you could look at it from that perspective and say: “Well yes, in that universe the human form is dominant.” But since it is infinite, there are any number of universes where there are different forms of dominant life.

And also, of course, it depends on what you mean by dominant because that can have different meanings in your language.

Question 5: How to Truly Be Alive

Participant: How can I truly be alive?

Bashar: What do you mean truly? You mean live to your fullest potential?

Participant: Yes.

Bashar: By acting on your highest excitement every moment that you can. At any given moment, a number of options are available to you of things that you could possibly act on. All you have to do is keep choosing the one that contains more excitement, more passion than any other act. Act on it to the best of your ability, taking it as far as you can, so you can take it no further, with absolutely zero insistence on exactly how the outcome should happen.

That’s the whole formula. When you act on anything that contains more excitement than something else, you are actually aligning with the energy of your true natural self. That’s how your physical body interprets the energy of your true being—as excitement, passion, love, creativity. That’s what that feeling is. It’s that resonant energy that is your true core being.

So anytime you act on anything that contains more of it than anything else, you are making a commitment to align with that energy. And when you do that with no insistence on what the outcome should look like, you open up the complete kit of excitement and all the tools in it that can serve you.

Those tools are:

  • It supports you in any way you need to be supported
  • It acts as the driving engine that moves you through life
  • It acts as the organizing principle that brings the synchronous events in your life that you need at exactly the right time in exactly the right order
  • It is the path of least resistance that allows you to experience the flow of life in an effortless way
  • It is the path that connects you to any other expression of excitement
  • It is the reflective mirror that reveals to you anything within your unconscious mind that might be out of alignment with that excitement, so you can identify it, integrate it, and bring that energy back into alignment

So the formula of acting on your excitement to the best of your ability with no insistence on the outcome is what will allow the kit to work. And that’s the formula, and that’s all you need to do to live your life to the fullest, which is the only purpose and mission that you actually have in life.

Question 6: Healing Through Crystals

Participant: For several years, I had pain in my hip. And then the past few months, I had pain in my elbow. Last night I purchased one of your contact crystals. Acting on my highest excitement, I went home and did the meditation, and in the morning when I woke up, I had no pain anywhere in my body.

Bashar: Because pain is resistance to the natural self. When you stop resisting the natural self, energy flows. There is no blockage, there is no resistance, and there is no pain.

Participant: I meditate, I use all kinds of crystals, and still that pain was persistent.

Bashar: You found the permission slip that aligned most strongly with your own belief system that allowed you to finally give yourself permission to be more of who you are. We are happy to have been in some way a part of the idea of reflecting to you your own power. But you did it, not the crystal. It’s just that the crystal somehow aligns more accurately with your belief system where you finally allowed yourself to believe that it was okay to give yourself permission to let the resistance go.

Participant: Is there anything else that you can tell me about the crystal? Does it need to ever be recharged, or do I do the meditation again for any reason?

Bashar: You do understand our definition of permission slips?

Participant: Yes, I do.

Bashar: Then why are you asking a question that you can answer? You understand that it is in essence a kind of a vote for contact, yes? Remember that the first contact you need to have is with more of yourself.

Question 7: Planet X

Participant: What can you tell us about Planet X?

Bashar: Let’s just put it this way for now—anything that you have heard, you don’t necessarily need to worry about or pay attention to at this particular moment. And that’s all we’ll say for the moment.

Question 8: Acceleration and Physical Symptoms

Bashar: Let us remind you all by the example that has been given here. And please understand, again, this is not meant to be scary—just for your understanding.

When you align with yourself, the idea of pain will vanish because there is no more resistance. Conversely, because things are amplifying, because things are accelerating, energetic or definitional misalignment in your energy will start to be experienced by more and more people on your planet almost immediately as a physiological pain and a physical representation of the misalignment.

It’s getting to the point where you can no longer ignore or bury the idea of energetic misalignments because they will now begin, as things accelerate, to actually show themselves in your body almost immediately. When you expose yourself to higher energies that cannot flow through you because there may be misalignment in your energy, it will push anything in your body, your physical body, that has an energetic weakness in it into misalignment to show you that the definitions and energy within you are misaligned.

Don’t be afraid of this. Just pay attention if this happens and recognize that it may seem very strange that you’re standing still one moment doing nothing, and suddenly something may go out of joint for no reason.

When you start moving in the direction of higher excitement or start exposing yourself to beings that have a higher frequency than you do, anything within you that is misaligned will start to show itself now more physically and concretely because things are coalescing, things are accelerating. This is the day and age you asked for. This is the result. This is one of the symptoms—that anything that’s misaligned will start to actually manifest in physical reality far faster. So get aligned. Get aligned.

Question 9: Following the Path of Greatest Excitement

Participant: For me, this is a point of confusion about following the path of greatest excitement. I wanted to know which path would be mine or anybody else’s path of greatest excitement if I could change my mindset about my current circumstance to make it more exciting.

Bashar: Again, this is always what we advise—make sure that when you are examining your choices that something that may not seem exciting actually might be. If you examine that, you may be the one coloring it to make it seem like it’s not. So it’s always wise to take a moment and make sure you’re not making your excitement seem like something less than your excitement.

If you recognize you’re doing that and find out why you would color it that way to make it seem less exciting than it could be, then you will recognize by recognizing it might be your excitement and how you’re coloring it, whether or not it is exciting enough at that moment for you to take action on more than anything else. You’ll bring it to the forefront and have a true comparison with anything else that excites you, and then you can decide between them which excites you more, and/or which you actually have more capability of taking some action on without any assumption of the outcome.

Remember please that the things that excite you don’t always excite you because that thing has to come to fruition. Your excitement will know that sometimes there might be resistances within you, and so it might choose something to excite you with that it knows you’ll actually respond to. It doesn’t mean that thing that excites you has to come to fruition. It may just have been necessary to excite you that way to get you to move forward, to get you off your butt, and then the real thing that excites you—now that you’re moving—will show up.

But you wouldn’t have seen that thing if you hadn’t moved from A to B first. And the other thing that excited you may have only been for the purpose of getting you to move from A to B so that you could see C. Make sense?

So always examine to make sure that if you find yourself resistant to something that’s in your life, if it really is just a recognition that it’s not what you prefer, or whether you’re coloring it to make it seem so because of something you fear. Once you’ve cleared that up, then you will simply see what your choices are that excite you, and you can act on the one that’s either most exciting or the one you have the greatest capability of doing something about. And that’s all there is to it. It’s that simple.

Question 10: Remembering Information

Participant: I also wanted to know why it’s hard for me to remember exactly what was discussed in full. You know, it’s like…

Bashar: Because you don’t understand it yet.

Participant: How come?

Bashar: Because you’re not using it fully yet. When you actually understand the nature and structure of existence, then you will know what you need to know when you need to know it. It won’t be an issue of remembering. You don’t need to remember. You just need to know that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it.

That’s it. You’re trying to remember. Stop trying to remember. Just know that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it. And then you’ll remember, so to speak.

But because you don’t understand that mechanism yet, you’re having difficulty because you’re trying to do something you don’t really need to do. You just need to apply. You just need to use. Remember that what you know to be true, you just do. It’s in your behavior. You don’t question it, you don’t think about it, it’s just part of you. It’s just who you are.

So you need to make this your own. You really need to have an understanding of the nature of the structure of existence and how the machine works, so to speak. And when you have that, you’ll know that it’s not an issue of remembering—it’s just an issue of knowing.

And wherever you find yourself, in whatever state you find yourself or create for yourself, the things you need to know that are relevant to that state are the things you will know in that state. The things you don’t know in that state are not things you need to know, or can’t know from that state. Change your state, you change what you know. Make sense?

Question 11: Valiant Thor

Participant: Is Valiant Thor from Venus, as described by Dr. Frank Strange, a real alien that made human contact?

Bashar: We’re not going to talk too much about that. But let us just say again—the idea of Venus in your solar system in your dimensional plane is not a place that is inhabited, but in other dimensions it is.

Okay. Therefore, when someone says “from Venus,” they don’t actually mean from the sauna planet in your solar system. They mean from another dimension. And the way in which they present is a matter of what you need to see to understand in your terms something of what they are. But that being is far different and far more than you think. It’s only projecting what you need to see to understand it to the degree you need to understand it.

Question 12: Financial Struggle Following Excitement

Participant: Earlier you talked about following your highest excitement. In my experience for me, I left behind a secure and prestigious corporate job to follow my highest excitement. Then it wasn’t that secure if it wasn’t your excitement, even though you may have been trained to think it was right. One of my experiences in following this path has been just experiencing severe financial struggle in a way that I’ve never experienced before.

Bashar: Before you continue—you do remember, although again this is always your choice, maybe this is the process you believed you needed. That’s up to you. But as we always remind all of you, please do take the time to honor your belief system.

Because if you really, really believe and can’t let go of the belief that you need that kind of a job in order to be supported in life, it is not wise to jump off the cliff if you don’t know you have a parachute. But if you believe that the fall will actually allow you to learn faster how to knit a parachute on the way down, then that’s all right as a choice.

But please do not deprive yourself or force yourself into a situation that you don’t actually believe you’re ready to handle. You can work on your excitement a bit at a time at whatever pace you’re comfortable with.

Nevertheless, if you believe that the idea of simply jumping into ice water will allow you immediately to do what you need to do, then that’s okay too if you can use it that way. But you have to be honest with whether you really believe that this particular methodology will work for you.

Participant: I don’t think I knew I had that belief until I jumped.

Bashar: All right, well there you go. So it’s revealing things to you now. Of course, you actually do have the capacity to completely turn this around if you stop struggling with definitions of abundance that are out of alignment with what you prefer.

Do you remember our definition of abundance?

Participant: No. Would you like us to repeat it?

Bashar: Yes.

Bashar: Abundance—the ability to do what you need to do when you need to do it. Period. Notice I didn’t say anything about finances, right? I am not denying that money is one of the ways that abundance can be represented on your planet. That’s fine. But the idea is that if you expand your definition of abundance to all of the forms that could allow you to do what you need to do when you need to do it, then when money needs to be the one that is the path of least resistance, money is the way it will show up.

But sometimes money isn’t the path of least resistance. And insisting that that’s the only way that you’re going to be able to be supported in this situation or that circumstance—that you have all of these assumptions about because society has told you it can’t be done any other way—then you will deprive yourself and close the doors to all the other ways that abundance could actually flow to you that might actually be the path of least resistance and allow you to be supported much more effortlessly.

For example, someone may be saying: “Well, I’m struggling saving enough money to buy my dream house, and no matter how much I struggle, I just can’t seem to save enough money to get that dream house.” All right. Well, maybe the struggle is telling you that that’s not the path of least resistance.

By continuing to act on your highest excitement, knowing that the thread of excitement is connected to all other expressions of your excitement, if you would only follow it, then maybe by just going: “All right, I’ll give it a shot. I will just now put that aside, stop struggling, and I will just look around and say all right, what’s the next exciting thing? What is the most exciting thing I could do out of the options available to me right now?”

“Well, actually, it’s going to lunch with a friend now. How does this have anything at all to do with saving up enough money to buy that house? I don’t know, but I have to trust that excitement will lead me there because it’s all connected. And if that house or a house truly excites me, if it’s truly a representation of my highest excitement, it’s got to be included in this entire formula somehow, somewhere.”

But by actually moving away from that specific focus and following where excitement is actually doing this, then you’re paying attention to how it’s going to get you there in an easier way than you think. Because now you are not going with the ego, you’re going with the higher mind that says: “Come here, come here, I’ll show you the path. It’s very simple.”

So you say: “All right, going to lunch with a friend is the most exciting thing.” And off you go. And while you’re sitting in that restaurant chatting with your friend and enjoying your meal, the couple at the next table says: “Gosh, we’re going on this five-year vacation. I wish we could find someone to sit with our house and keep it safe. And if they would just do that, we would let them stay there for free. But gosh, we just can’t find anyone.”

And you turn around and go: “Well, where’s your house? I overheard you, excuse me, but where’s your house?” “Well, it’s this house up there on that hill.” “What? My dream house! You live there?” “Why yes. Would you like to house-sit it for us?”

Thank you. Now you’re in the house and you didn’t spend a dime. And in fact, maybe they pay you to stay in the house.

If you think this kind of thing is some sort of an extreme example, it’s not. These are the things that happen all the time in synchronicity when you go with the flow. Your life becomes a magical explosion of ridiculous proportions.

Do you understand? Because being given something, being given an opportunity to do something, is every bit as much a representation of abundance as money is. So don’t close the doors to all the forms in which abundance can come by insisting that only one will take you where you need to go. Let the path of least resistance show you what form the abundance actually needs to come in.

Question 13: Astral Travel

Participant: I’ve been leaving my body a lot. Where do you go? I only remember as far as leaving my body and hovering over it. Then sometimes I know one time there was a being that was trying to talk to me. Another time I just shot up into space, and that’s all I remember. My question is, why not have a destination in mind?

Bashar: Let me ask you a question if I may. When you go and buy a ticket to travel somewhere and you get on the airplane, do you just go to the airport and say: “Oh, take me anywhere, I don’t know where I’m going to wind up?”

Participant: Well, I mean you usually have a specific destination in mind, yes.

Bashar: Right. So where do I go currently? You’re experiencing the idea from your point of view in a directionless way. Why not figure out where you want to go before you start traveling? Then you’ll know where to wind up.

Participant: How do I figure out where I want?

Bashar: What do you mean how do you figure it out? Where would you like to go? You don’t have any idea of the places you can visit when you’re out of your body?

Participant: Other realms.

Bashar: What does that mean to you? You want a specific target? Come to our planet—Essassani—in a parallel reality about 500 light-years in the direction of the Orion belt.

Have you looked at the Orion belt in your winter sky? Well, why not go look at it? You know, Orion the constellation? You’re familiar with the belt—the three stars of the belt? Well, get familiar. This is you making your travel plans.

So get familiar with the constellation, but understand that you’re going to go into a different dimension where our reality exists—that’s every bit as solid to us as yours is to you. But because it’s in a parallel reality, we’re invisible to you until you make the shift into our frequency.

You’re familiar with us and we’ve given you our quote-unquote phone number of the black equilateral triangle against the black background, but the black triangle is separated from the black background by a deep blue light peeking out from around the edges. Use that and your familiarity with our vibration to guide you when you’re astrally traveling. Say: “I’m going to Essassani. Head for the Orion belt,” knowing what we feel like in this interaction, remembering this interaction in our energy, picturing the equilateral black triangle with the blue light emanating from behind it against the black background, and then go.

Question 14: Beings Trying to Contact in Sleep

Participant: There’s also been instances where beings have tried to contact me in my sleep. I was wondering who they are.

Bashar: Sometimes they are guides. Sometimes they are the beings you call the Grays. Sometimes they’re something else. We’re not going to go into that right now for you. But right now, just plan your trip. Get educated as to where you’re going, lay it all out, and bon voyage.

Question 15: Bubble Realities

Participant: I’ve heard you talk about bubble realities and split realities and shifting to parallel realities. Would you be able to expand on how we as a group create bubble realities?

Bashar: You do it by agreement. In other words, to put it colloquially, it’s like saying that you have invited someone to play the game of chess. Well, if you’re going to play the game of chess, then you need a board of a specific design that is a chess board. So you agree to lay out the foundation. You need pieces that are shaped a certain way, so you agree to use those pieces with someone else. You say: “Well, these pieces have to have certain abilities.” And you agree on the rules that you will use to play this game, and they are the chess rules. And so you know that you’re playing by the same rules by agreement. And then you create the material, create the pieces, put them on the board, sit down, and now that you know all that, you begin to play.

It’s a similar idea. You do this idea by creating a consensus reality, and you lay out the playing board and you lay out the rules and you say: “Well, this is what we’re generally going to abide by in order to have this experience of playing this game with each other.” It’s done on a higher level. It’s done on the spirit level and through what we call the template level—vibrational border between physical and non-physical reality experience.

Question 16: Coherence

Participant: There’s a term from the HeartMath Institute called coherence—the coherence of the mind and the heart. I was wondering if you could expand on that.

Bashar: It’s simply alignment. It’s simply resonating together. It’s really the idea that you’re experiencing right now in the fact that we can communicate through a biological entity on your planet because the channel has been trained to have the kind of brainwave coherence necessary that functions like a tuning fork that is tuned to our vibration.

So that when we have thoughts, if the channel operates on a similar wavelength, then the channel has similar thoughts at the same time, therefore is able to translate our thoughts by linking and having coherence and alignment with our thoughts. Because our thoughts exist on a certain frequency level, by matching that level you have the same thoughts at the same time. This is how telepathy and channeling work.

Question 17: Dream of Grays and Overseer

Participant: A week ago I had a dream that I was visited by two or three Grays, and I was suspended and they were kind of manipulating my body in a familiar setting. I wasn’t scared, but there was a point where they used some kind of tool and injected something into my hand and my head, and then they all stopped and looked almost startled and kind of ran away into the door of the light. It was almost like another entity came in the room. Was that what that was?

Bashar: An overseer. Yes. To make sure that the slight miscalculation of the adjustment they had made could be readjusted. Okay. In altering the energy patterns of your genetic matrix to allow you to be more capable of fulfilling your part of the bargain and the agreement that you have made to participate in the hybridization agenda.

Participant: Is there anything you can expand on my contract?

Bashar: Nope.

Question 18: Crossroads and Career Change

Participant: I’m going through a crossroads in life. I’ve been told that I’m not going to be employed any longer by my employer.

Bashar: How exciting! So you have utilized your environment to push you in a direction that you actually prefer to go in but weren’t necessarily willing to take action on. And so you did it remotely by using the others around you to create circumstances that would force you in that direction. How clever of you.

Participant: Coincidentally enough, I’ve tried to start my own business, but it’s hard to make it take off.

Bashar: If you say so. Why do you believe that this is difficult? Because remember, there’s no such thing as an inherently difficult situation. It only appears difficult because of your definition of your relationship to it. So why are you imagining this to be difficult?

Participant: Maybe I’m afraid of losing my job and the safety.

Bashar: But you’re going to lose your job. Yes. So if it’s inevitable, why be afraid? If you are more excited about moving in the direction of creating your own business, why are you not allowing that excitement to be paramount over the idea of the fear of losing something you don’t prefer? Doesn’t it sound a little illogical when you put it that way?

Participant: Yes.

Bashar: Well, why are you being so illogical? A negative belief system. What are you afraid of? Remember, that’s another way to find the definition. You can ask: “What would I have to believe is true about myself in the situation in order to feel what I feel?” And you can ask: “If I actually did move in the direction of what really excites me, what I really prefer, what am I terrified will happen?” That will also reveal the answer to you if you’re willing to hear the answer.

Participant: Financial struggle.

Bashar: Financial struggle. Yeah. Well, what’s so bad about that? It’s just an idea, you know.

Participant: We need money to survive in our society.

Bashar: Society says you sometimes may, sometimes you may not. As we have already explained, we understand it’s a valid representation in your society of abundance and exchange, but it’s not the only one. So why are you limiting the ways in which your business could be supported by insisting that it can only be supported by one form of abundance and closing the door on all the other forms of synchronicity and abundance that could be coming to you to let you know you can move forward?

Why would you do that? Why would you hamstring your own business with such a limited perspective?

Participant: I don’t know.

Bashar: Sure you do. It’s because that’s what you’ve been taught and that’s what you’re buying into. And this is what this transmission is all about—buying into those negative beliefs that have been capable of convincing you to suspend your disbelief about your worth. So you’re buying the product that they’re selling. They’re running a business too, and you’re buying up all their products. “Oh yes, that negative belief looks great, I’ll take three of those and two of those. Oh yes, thank you. Oh wait a minute, wait a minute, this one’s on sale! Running a special on this negative belief! Don’t forget, take that too. Here, I’ll get you another bag. That’ll really weigh you down.”

So stop buying things that you don’t need from another business, and you will have what you need for your business if you believe that.

Participant: I believe it.

Bashar: All right, then act like you believe it. Know that it’s true. Show it in your behavior. If you really know that to be true, and if for some reason along the way you suddenly find that you are going into doubt about that, well that’s fine because remember acting on your excitement acts as a reflective mirror to reveal to you where you still may be out of alignment, and therefore that’s an opportunity to recognize it, identify it consciously, deal with it, integrate it, bring that energy back into alignment.

So discovering negative ideas on the path of excitement is one of the functions of the path of excitement, not an impediment in it. Don’t define it as an obstacle. Don’t define it as an interruption. It’s part of the path of your excitement to find and discover things that are not part of the path of your excitement. It’s doing its job by revealing them to you so you can deal with them and bring it back into alignment and expand your excitement and see how it works for you on the positive side as opposed to letting it work on the negative side.

What is it you are excited about doing?

Participant: I think the business is one step in the… a business of what? What’s the business?

Bashar: What’s the excitement?

Participant: The excitement is I always tried to start a business.

Bashar: One moment. Doesn’t he sound completely excited?

Participant: Well, I’ve always tried to start…

Bashar: Where’s your passion in this? Are you sure this is really exciting to you?

Participant: It’s probably not the most exciting thing.

Bashar: Well, what would be the most exciting thing? Thank you for being honest finally. What would be more exciting than what you’re considering?

Participant: I feel connection with the dolphins and bringing forward tones and sounds and songs.

Bashar: And why can’t that be a business?

Participant: I don’t know. Because some little negative belief deep within me told me that it can’t be so. I guess I bought that too.

Bashar: The things that excite you will support you in the way you need to be supported. But you will never discover that if you don’t actually take some action in the direction of those exciting things, even if it’s just one step. Let it prove to you that it can support you.

If you want to create something that you don’t really prefer, that’s not really your highest excitement, that you believe you really need to support you, by all means go ahead. But at the very least, if you’re going to consider the idea of acting on your highest excitement, then at the very least give yourself a chance by acting to some degree on something that is really the most exciting thing whenever you can, however you can, to at least give that excitement a chance to show you that it can support you.

And the more you give it a chance to show you that it can, the more you will see that it can, and the more confidence you will have and let go of the things that you don’t prefer and let the thing that you’re excited about actually support you all the time.

Did you ever hear us tell the story about the woman that told stories to her children? There was a woman who was absolutely driven mad with passion to tell stories to her children. She was so good at it, so amazing at it, that her children started inviting their friends to hear the stories, and then the children started inviting their parents to hear the stories, and then they started inviting her to different houses to tell the stories because she was just so passionate about it and she was so engaging. And then they started paying her to come and tell stories.

Now if someone had told her: “Well, how you going to make a living just telling stories? That’s ridiculous. That’s nonsense. No one can make a living just doing that,” then maybe she wouldn’t have gone forward that way. But because it was her passion, she didn’t pay attention to the naysayers. She just kept doing it, and eventually it found a way to support her. That’s how it works.

What many people on your planet have for a long, long, long, long time told you is just the fantasy is actually the way life works. Shock and surprise! So the things that you have all been doing that prevent you from experiencing those miracles—that’s the exception. Miracles are the natural order of things. Not experiencing them—that’s the exception.

Make sense? But this is just a mechanism. It’ll work for you just as easily as it works for everyone else because it is already working for you. It’s just that you’re using it in a negative way by feeding it negative information, so it has no choice but to feedback a negative experience, an uncertainty, a self-doubt because that’s the vibration you’re putting into it. But it’s just a mechanism. It doesn’t have a mind of its own. It’s not going to contradict you. The mechanism can’t wag its finger at you and say: “No, no, no, that’ll never work.” The negative beliefs can convince you that the mechanism will do that, but the mechanism can’t actually do that. It’s just a mechanism. It’s just the nature and structure of existence. That’s just how it works. It’s just one of the laws—what you put out is what you get back. That can’t change.

It’s just the nature of the beast. It can’t be anything but that. So why not just use it to your advantage instead of to your disadvantage? It’s up to you. It doesn’t care. It will give you exactly what you instruct it to give you. But you have to actually give it what you really prefer in order for you to see that it’s actually supporting that.

If you have a definition of excitement that is in any way, shape, or form contradictory to an actual definition of excitement, it can only give you the reflection of the definitional formula you have fed into the machine.

So if you have a definition of excitement that says: “Well, I’m going to act on my highest excitement, but how do I know my excitement can really support me? Maybe it will let me down. I don’t know”—that’s not a definition of excitement. That’s its own definition, and it’s its own reality. “The definition of I’m going to act on my excitement but it may disappoint me” is another definition entirely. “My excitement is capable of supporting me”—that’s two different reality definitions and thus two different reality experiences.

You have to be clear about what you’re feeding into the machine so that you’re not surprised when you get something back that is not representative of something that excitement would actually be, because you suddenly realize: “Oh well, I didn’t feed it a definition of excitement really. I fed it something different, and that’s why I got something different back.”

It’s that simple. Just be clear about your definitions and your reality will be a clear reflection. Yes. In much the same way again that when you’re looking at your reflection in a mirror, if you want to see your reflection smile, you can’t just do this and hope for the mirror to go. You have to go. If you go, the mirror can only go. It will only give back what you put out. It’s that simple. This is just physics. That’s all this is.

Participant: I’ll have to get in touch with my negative beliefs and process it.

Bashar: If you say so. I would suggest and encourage you to do that with all the excitement you can muster because it’s part of your excitement in order to discover those negative beliefs. Because when you do, the energy that they have been taking up will be added to your excitement. Isn’t that exciting?

Question 19: Brain Power

Participant: For so many years, I really am passionate and really intrigued about brain power, mind power. You’ve been discussing about how as humans we have 100% of brain power, however we just use or choose to believe that we have 10%.

Bashar: You are using 100% to make it seem as if you’re only using 10% of your brain. Yes, exactly.

Participant: Then I’ve been trying—not trying, I’ve been doing that—and say: “Well, okay, I’m doing this. This is my belief. What do I have to believe in order for me to really choose this?” And I came out with nothing. Nothing.

Bashar: Exactly. That’s correct. Nothing. Except be yourself.

Participant: But that doesn’t change my choosing of this 10% that I would like to.

Bashar: Yes, it does. Until you doubt that it does. In other words, again, excitement is the key itself. When you act on the things, even if they don’t seem connected to the main thing you’re excited about, but when you act on things that contain the highest excitement out of all the choices available to you at any given moment, following the thread of that excitement is what elevates your frequency and allows you more awareness of the use of your brain power.

Until you doubt that that’s what it’s doing, and then you go back to the 10%. So just know that by acting on your excitement in all of its expressions—not just the idea of being excited about brain power, you’re almost just focusing on a natural side effect instead of actually focusing on the ideas that will actually allow you to experience the increase in connection to the brain power—you’re just saying: “Well, this is what I’m excited about.” You’re being excited about the outcome. Be excited about the process.

Does that make sense? So you will naturally experience that you are utilizing more of your brain power when you just act on other things in your life that contain excitement. You don’t need to continue to focus on the idea of the end result. Just focus on what’s exciting that you can take action on. That will actually have the effect of allowing you to feel an increase in brain power.

And stop focusing on the idea that you’re trying to increase your brain power. You’re almost doing it backwards. Just do it. Just go for it. Just do what excites you, and your brain power will increase. Anytime you are doing what you love to do, you’re in the gamma frequency, 40 cycles per second. And when you’re in that frequency, there is much more cohesion, much more coherence, much more synthesizing, much more processing going on, much more connectivity, much more association going on in your brain. It becomes a better receiver of higher frequency energies.

And then you will know, you will experience, you will feel that there’s more of you present. But you have to just do the things that excite you so that when you’re doing what you love, you will automatically know that you will be in that state in that moment. Just keep doing it and you’ll keep being in that state. And the more you’re in that state, the more you’ll get used to that state, and then the more you will allow yourself to go further and further and further and accelerate and accelerate and accelerate.

But that’s just the natural process, a natural side effect of acting on your highest excitement, doing what you love to do in all ways that it presents itself, instead of just focusing on the so-called effect that you will get out of doing those things. Make sense?

Question 20: Recreational Drug Use and Spiritual Development

Participant: I was wondering if you could talk about the effects of recreational drug use on spiritual development.

Bashar: I can talk about that. We will remind you briefly: The things that exist naturally on your planet, the things that grow naturally for that purpose of allowing you to explore different dimensions of your consciousness, those are the things that can act as teachers and guides up to a point. The things that your own body produces, such as dimethyltryptamine, also can be something you can explore and enhancing in a variety of ways according to whatever works best for you.

But the idea of all those things is for the purpose of getting you used to being in certain states. And by getting you used to those states, allowing you to start realizing that you can just create those states within yourself anytime you want with no further need for the teacher that brought you to that point of realization.

Otherwise, if you have to continue beyond a certain point, then you are going into the idea of using those things that the Earth has provided more as a crutch than a help. And it crosses the line from self-empowerment to addiction, even if it’s just mental addiction.

So the idea is to use them as they are designed to be used—the ones that are natural to your world that are there as teachers up to the point where you realize that what they’re attempting to show you is that you don’t need them anymore to access any state that you prefer. That works for you.

Question 21: Forgiveness

Participant: I was also wondering if you could elaborate more on the idea of forgiveness. It’s something that’s very pertinent to my life.

Bashar: All right. Well, as we said, it mitigates the idea of the consequences of negative acts. What more needs to be said about it? Why is it so difficult?

I’ll say this: You have had many expressions and examples of what you would call masters on your planet throughout your history—ascended masters, pastors, learned teachers—who have created many different kinds of expressions and passion plays and so on and so forth.

In what you call your biblical literature, you have the idea of the Christ consciousness being nailed to a cross. People on your planet say: “Well, he died for your sins.” What that really means is that when he said “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do,” he was expressing the idea specifically that the energy of forgiveness would mitigate the negative consequences for all the people that had actually done that to him. That’s what forgiving you for your sins means. That’s what the phrase means.

It was a very profound act of compassion and a very great teaching lesson if you understand what the lesson actually was and you understand what forgiveness is.

Participant: I’m in the Course in Miracles right now, and forgiveness is a huge thing. I’m very interested in the idea of the first separation and the forgiveness of that separation as it is discussed in that book.

Bashar: Well, the idea of the first separation is what we have typically referred to as the angelic realm. The first reflection of all that is of itself can in some senses be said to be what became the recognition of the angels. The so-called idea of forgiveness enters this equation only in the sense of knowing that there is really nothing to forgive within the idea of simply experiencing yourself from a different point of view.

And that by adding the negative polarity into the equation is where it comes into thinking that forgiveness is needed. So the forgiveness in this sense, in this context as you mean it, is the forgiveness of thinking you needed forgiveness in order to experience a polarized reflection of yourself. Because it’s simply one way to experience herself, and there is nothing necessarily negative about using negativity in a positive way. And therefore there is nothing to forgive if that is the way it is used.

Does that make sense? Does that help?

Participant: It very much does.

Bashar: All right. I forgive you for asking the question. No, no, no—no forgiveness required.

CLOSING MEDITATION

Bashar: You may now, if you wish, take a short break. We will resume this transmission with your holotope experience to begin to crystallize these ideas within you further. We will resume this transmission in a few moments.

May I first, however, remind you that in tomorrow’s transmission during the holotope experience, we will be presenting you with something we have never done this way before—with a very unique Christmas gift that will be in the holotope experience of tomorrow’s transmission. And you will find out what the present is then when it is time to unwrap it.

But for now, you may prepare yourself for a few moments for the holotope experience and meditation for this transmission. We will resume this connection in a few moments.

(After the break)

Bashar: All right. We will continue this transmission by asking you to become very comfortable and relaxed. Let go of anything right now that you may be physically holding on to. Set it aside. Lay it down. Breathe deeply, gently, in and out. And allow your body to begin to relax.

As you bring down your lights and you raise your music slowly, begin to allow yourself to just breathe and drift. Breathe and drift. Relax into the vibration of the mirror before you that reflects to you an image of your true being—a reflection of all the different aspects that you are.

Focus your eyes upon the center of the holo, knowing that as you do so, you are allowing yourself the opportunity to peer into the very heart, the very core of your being. And allow yourself to know as you continue to breathe and relax, in and out, that looking into this core, into this central vortex, will also allow you to peer into the core of your personality, the core of your physical mind, and allow more easy access to the core beliefs and an ability to observe from a neutral place any negative beliefs that may reside in this core.

There are communicating ideas to you that may be out of alignment with your true self, your true vibration, for now that you can see more and more clearly into the core of your being and recognize the vibration of your true self. More and more clearly will you be able to tell the difference between any vibration coming from any belief that is not in alignment with that true core vibration.

For we remind you that negative beliefs must work very hard and focus on very specific things in order to convince you to suspend your disbelief about your true worth. Whereas positive beliefs can be just about anything that’s positive because it doesn’t matter what they are because they are all in alignment with you. They can be general, they can be specific, but they don’t need to be because they don’t need to work to convince you of the truth. Because the positive beliefs know that you know the truth on a higher level of your being.

And now you begin to realize more and more as you let all of this sink into you deeply and crystallize within you—this vibration of your truth more and more—you begin to see the smoke and mirrors behind the curtain. The lies that negative beliefs will feed you, not because they are malicious but because this is simply what they are designed to do—to allow you the opportunity to choose the negative, the dark, the limits, so that you are able to use them in a positive way, to reach for the light in the darkness, to free yourself from any limitations that do not serve you.

For some limitations do serve you. They are the ones that allow you to be focused in physical reality and experience the process of your life in order to have the discoveries of new perspectives of your being. This is in many ways the great gift that the negative beliefs can give you if you use them in this way—to contrast the things that you know are true for you against the things you know are not, and to help propel you with more acceleration in the direction of your preference, in the direction of your joy.

So give thanks in a positive way from your self-empowered place of peace and balance. Give thanks to all the negative beliefs that have brought you to where you are, and thank them and let them know that they can now begin to relax—that they do not have to try so hard anymore to convince you of something you know is not true. That they have done their job and done it well, and you thank them for bringing you to this place, for allowing you to see more clearly who you are by seeing more clearly who you are not.

And by thanking them and relaxing your energy toward them and not invalidating them, do you then slowly drain the charge that you have put on them, so that the negative beliefs may know that they can simply relax and be the part of you they need to be—simply an option, an equal choice, a valid choice, but nothing more than a choice.

For that is all they are really. When you see through the illusion, when you see through the tricks, you begin to understand they are nothing but a choice like any other choice. They have no power over you. They can only use your power in a reflection that is contrary to what you prefer. And if you don’t give them your power to use, they have no power of their own.

For they are only shapes. They are only symbols. They are only signs and illusions. They are only dreams. They are only smoke and mirrors and light and magic. They are just ideas. They are just perspectives. That is all they are.

Breathe in and breathe out and feel the release. And you know that as you use with your imagination the permission slips that we have delivered to you of the seven-part Master permission slip that allows you to make affirmations that reveal to you any negative beliefs that may be lurking within your unconscious mind—as you go down the list of the affirmation in the seven-part Master permission slip, and as you use the permission slip we have delivered to you this evening of the different tools and tricks and the neutralizers that you now have—use these as the beginning, use these as the template, use these as the framework to expand upon these ideas.

Come up with your own understanding through your imagination and your communication with the higher mind. Come up with your own understanding and reveal to yourself more of the tools and tricks that may be lying within you. And allow them to reveal themselves to you. Allow your excitement as you act on it to be the reflective mirror that reveals to you anything you may be unaware of that will serve you to become conscious of, so that you may transform them by neutralizing and remembering, remembering, remembering they are just beliefs.

They are nothing more. And they cannot be more fundamental than your existence and your worth. They simply cannot be.

Allow yourself to breathe. Allow yourself to float in this new understanding, in this new assurance, in this new certainty, in this new confidence.

Do not choose to be the agent of the negative belief. Do not choose to be the victim of the negative belief. Do not choose to be unaware of the negative belief. Allow yourself the freedom of awareness, the freedom of transformation, the freedom of being who you truly are.

And relax anything within you that is not of that vibration, so that it may know that it has done its job and been of service, and that it is part of the unconditional love you have for the totality of your being.

And forgive yourself and forgive others and let go. Let go. Let go.

And as you let go, know that what you are letting in is the reflection of realities that are true for you. And that there will always be a version of a reality that is a reflection of your truth that will bring you synchronistically exactly what you need. And it may be different than what your mind wants, but it will be exactly that which serves you.

And if you know that, then you will relax and receive. Relax and receive. Relax and receive the gift of what is true for you from the higher mind.

Let go of those things that are not you. Let go of those things that do not serve you. Let in the reality reflection that is designed perfectly for you.

For it exists right here, right now. Always has, always is, and always will be. It goes nowhere and never leaves you. But you can pretend to leave it and feel yourself wallowing in misery and pain and suffering. But you do not need to choose these things, for again they are only your insistence on resistance.

Do not insist on resisting the natural you, and all the pain will fade and turn to joy.

Release yourself from the bondage that you yourself have created. Release yourself from the prison bars you yourself have fashioned. Release yourself from the darkness you yourself have chosen to surround yourself with. And see the light reflected back of the being that you are in the core of your consciousness.

Breathe it in. Breathe it in. Breathe it in and release and be free.

For you are loved. You are supported. Always and never alone.

Let all the expressions of creation that can reflect that support and unconditional love to you come in. Open your new eyes to see new things. And allow the negative beliefs to go to sleep and slumber peacefully now that they have earned their retirement in service to you.

They will always be there should you decide to choose them. But now you can allow them to slumber—a peaceful sleep that they have earned, that they deserve in bringing you to the realizations that now exist within you.

That you now yearn for, that you now ask for, and shall receive. For this information, this energy, and this love is always being sent to you in all always at all times, forever and ever.

And the next time, if such should occur, that you encounter the effects of the negative belief, remind yourself, remind yourself, remind yourself:

It’s only a movie. It’s only a movie. It’s only a movie. I have simply agreed to be willing to have a suspension of disbelief about my worth. But the movie is now over, and I see the light—the pure light on the screen before me—and the pure reflection of my being. And I now reawaken to the reality of my truth, having learned, having experienced, having journeyed in the movie in the way that served me best. But that was just a dream. And now I am awake. And this is who I truly am.

And that was just a movie. Just a movie. Just a dream.

Breathe that in and make it your own.
